Last week we reported that it was a bad weekend for Strides Football Club. That was because we lost with our Under 13 and Under 17 divisions mostly due to lack of preparedness and bad administration. It is sad because we know had we been fully prepared we would have won at least with our Under 13. So with these divisions we miss out on going to the Semi Finals of the PLFA Super Cup competition.
We also reported that our Under 15 was going to be playing Semi Finals on the 5th of March 2023. It was actually Quarter Finals, not semis.
Our woes are not gone thought. We still have some very bad administrative issues that we a resolving. This period helps because it allows us to resolve these before the league actually starts.
Be that as it may, our Under 15 played against Ditlou United FC on the 5th and won 3 -2. This was a hard fought victory as we were always training from behind. Our winning goal came from a penalty. The boys played really well, but will need to up the game to make it through the semi finals and finals.
Therefore, both our Under 11 and Under 15 are of to the Semi Finals on the 11th and 12th of March. Under 15 will play against Atteridgeville Young Zebras FC on the 11th at 12pm at the Masopha North Ground. See match details https://plfa.org.za/matches/atteridgeville-young-zebras-football-club-u15-strides-football-club-u15-2023-03-11/
Under 11 will play against Real Jabulani FC on the 12th of March at 9h00 at the Masopha North Ground. See match details https://plfa.org.za/matches/real-jabulani-football-club-u11-strides-football-club-u11-2023-03-12/
We wish both the boys and the coaches well with the Semi Finals and ultimately with the Finals. In the meantime, our Team Manager, Lehlohonolo Lethole will drive the resolution of our administrative issues.
