Strides Football Club would like to congratulate Kgosientsho Ramokgopa for being trusted by his Excellency President Cyril Ramaphosa to the position of Minister of Electricity.
This is a position that very few black leaders would like to see themselves in. It is a reputational risk position with high probabilities of failure. Fsikure in this position would kill one’s future career. Yet our very own Bra Sputla has accepted with zeal and courage.
Sputla is not new to risky positions and missions. The people of #Pheli know this. He is the only Mayor who built backrooms in almost every house in Phelindaba. He the the first Mayor to tackle the dangerous road in Maunde Street. He introduced he now Famous Nkomo Village to Pheli and created a new community in the Little Manhatten. There is more.
But #tshwane people know him too. He is that Mayor that resurrected Munitoria after years of collapse. He relocated Morula Sun from Mabopane to Times Square in Menlyn. That Mayor who was bold enough to start a project of rehabilitating the Kruger Park settlements, which DA showed cowardice by thwarting the project and many others after his departure.
As Strides, we put our faith behind Bra Sputla. We know his capabilities and courage. We know he will lead the delivery of South Africa from power crises quicker and more efficiently.
Thank you President for your will to help South Africa through this power crises has been demonstrated through your choice of a leader. Thank you.
